Our next general lake meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 12 at 6:30pm - 7:45pm, and will be held at the West Milford Township Library (1470 Union Rd).

During this meeting, we will hold elections for the position of President and Secretary, present the Treasurer's report, read the minutes from the previous meeting, and discuss any maintenance that will need to be done this year. Please make sure your voice is heard by attending this important election meeting.

The lake is being lowered for the first half of April to allow for dock and lakefront repairs. The lowering will remain in effect until April 17.

Member-at-Large Mark Romain, who is generous enough to oversee dam operations and maintenance in addition to other GLPOA duties, has closed the valve which means the lake level will start raising again. He has notified the State Division of Fish and Wildlife as required by law.

On Feb. 19, 2019 the West Milford Messenger reported on the NJ DEP approval of a recent inspection of the Gordon Lakes (West) Dam. Member-at-Large Mark Romain has been overseeing Gordon Lakes Dam (NJ File No. 22-74) management. This includes monitoring dam inspections & operations, and filing the appropriate paperwork with the state. In October of 2018, a dam inspection was conducted by Cross Associates of Oak Ridge, NJ. An inspection report was produced and submitted to the state for review and subsequent approval. In lieu of this approval, our dam is now in good standing for 2 years from the date of 1/23/2019.
